The Eichsfeld Cycling Region
The Eichsfeld offers cyclists a varied landscape with well-maintained cycle paths and quiet back roads. The Leine Cycle Route, one of the most popular long-distance cycle routes in northern Germany, runs from the Leine spring near Leinefelde to Hanover and passes through our village of Breitenbach. The region is particularly suited to touring cyclists who appreciate gentle hills and rural tranquillity. E-bike riders find ideal conditions in the hilly landscape – the gradients are moderate, and the reward of the views all the greater.
